Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Toys Now In Stock

Well, it's been forever and a day since there were Yu-Gi-Oh! toys around. Given that, well, toys and Yu-Gi-Oh! are two of our favourite things in the world, we were naturally excited when we heard that a range of toys were coming out to accompany the new 5Ds series on TV. Smashing.

Little did we realise however, just how superb they would be. There's more to come over the next month or so, but at the moment we've got the action figures, which come in two different sizes and contain a range of monsters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds show. You can also get your hands on an articulated Yusei figure complete with his D-Wheel (pictured). It's stunning and is an absolute must have.

New Yu-Gi-Oh! Collectors Tins Arrive

Always eagerly anticipated, the first wave of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Collectors' Tins have hit the shelves. There's two superb exclusive cards to pick from (or why not have them both?) - Power Tool Dragon and Ancient Fairy Dragon - two fantastic cards from the new Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds anime.

As usual, the tin is also packed with Yu-Gi-Oh! boosters - each tin contains five - one Raging Battle, two Crimson Crisis and (drum roll please), two Ancient Prophecy - your first chance to see the new booster.

Restocks on Yu-Gi-Oh! and Gormiti

Two products which are particularly hot at the moment for us are Gormiti and Yu-Gi-Oh! We've been on a bit of wing and a prayer as far as stock goes with these ones the last couple of weeks, but I'm pleased to report that all systems are go at the moment.

Gormiti first up. We've managed to get hold of some Series 2 four packs. If you're still finishing your Gormiti Series 2 collection, then our advice would be grab them now - they wont be around for much longer. We've also got the Series 3 Gormiti Atomic four packs back in - the coolest release so far in the Gormiti series. Check out all our Gormiti products here.

Next up, Yu-Gi-Oh!, where the new 5Ds series on TV has introduced the game to a whole new generation of duelists. New Releases - Club Penguin Jitsu and Yu-Gi-Oh Gold Series 2

A couple of interesting new Trading Card releases hit the site today, just a quick blog to let you know about them.

First up, for our younger collectors, we have Club Penguin Jitsu cards. Based on the massively popular online game, Club Penguin, these cards have been like gold dust so far. Secondly, we almost couldn't believe our eyes when we saw them. Finally, after a year of promises, Yu-Gi-Oh! Gold Series 2 is out. And wow, it's well worth the wait - Monarchs, Six Samurai, Gold Sarcophagus, Dark Armed Dragon. Superb, but just like Series 1, this is a very limited production run. At Long Last - A New Yu-Gi-Oh! Release

For a while there, we thought we'd never announce a new Yu-Gi-Oh! release on this blog again. That's why we were so delighted to unwrap the first box of Raging Battle to arrive the other day. It's the first Konami only release, and we're loving the slightly different feel to the artwork on the cards. Anyway, there's far more than that to shout about in Raging Battle. New Yu-Gi-Oh! Releases

Just a quick update for all our Yu-Gi-Oh! regulars out there. Today sees the launch of two new Yu-Gi-Oh! products.

First up, there's the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Structure Deck, Spellcaster's Command - With half a dozen new cards and reprints of old rare Spellcaster cards, it's a must have for any player.

Second up, we have the 2009 Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Tin. Yu-Gi-Oh! tins are always good value for money and this year's Easter Tin is no exception. 3 Yusei Duelist Packs, 1 Duelist Genesis Booster, a 3 card preview of Raging Battle. You want even more? It seems like we've been waiting forever for this booster, but finally with at least European legal wranglings out the way for the moment, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Crimson Crisis Booster has hit the shelves. Because of the delays, it has been one of the most anticipated booster releases ever, so grab yours quickly.

Toy Fair 2009

I thought I'd just let all our regular readers know about this year's toy fair at Excel in London.

Bus Stop paid a visit on the opening day, when all the media types were around. We did some celeb spotting for you, of course. We were barely in 5 minutes when we encountered a couple of muscle bound Gladiators - Battle Axe and the pretty-boy one with the long hair. Next we were somewhat surprised, whilst browsing the Playmobil 2009 line up, to discover Samanda of Big Brother fame perusing beside us.

However the jewel in the crown came whilst Bus Stop was enjoying a sandwich in the main concourse of Excel. A vision of blue came jogging past, and on glancing up, it turned out to be none other than Sportacus (wife and eldest daughter very jealous when they heard). The geek in Bus Stop Toy Shop was hugely dissappointed to manage to miss the Tech Deck world champion in action and we're lead to belive that Brian Blessed was around too, but we didn't spot him.

Anyway - enough chat about celebs. On the toy front, it was great to see the industry in such bouyant mood, despite the current economic climate. We saw more superb new products than you can shake a stick at.

Amongst our current favourites, we saw some great new Magno-z and got a sneek preview of the new series of Crazy Bones. The toys coming out for the launch of the new Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds TV series also look fantastic. As we suspected, Thumb Wrestling Federation looks like it will be huge.

There's also a whole raft of new, exciting brands coming to Bus Stop Toy Shop over the coming year, but we won't spoil any surprises - you'll just have to keep checking back.

Crossroads of Chaos

The new Yu-Gi-Oh booster launches today - it's called Crossroads of Chaos and it's already going down a storm! It makes great additions to Zombie, Plant and Spellcaster decks, as well as featuring 30 monsters featured in Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds. You can now get your hands on the morphotronic monsters, as well as Turbo Warrior and the awe inspiring Black Rose Dragon. These cards will be making their way into top level decks, so grab some packs quick - stocks everywhere are already running low!

Yu-Gi-Oh is just so exciting at the moment. Following almost immediately on from the launch of the 5Ds deck, comes the eagerly anticipated first batch of collector's tins for 2008. Just when we'd got our heads round the new Synchro monsters, we've got some more of them to think about - Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend. The new deck is coming out in conjunction with the new Yu-Gi-Oh! 5DS series, due to premier in the UK later in the year. Synchro Summoning and Tuners are the new game mechanics to get your heads around and the deck is sure to change the way the game is played forever. At A Quiet Time of Year, An Update

September is a quiet time in the toy industry. Schools are back, and Christmas trade is yet to kick off. I thought today, I'd give you the lowdown on what we've got planned over the next few months.

1 Another business. Yes, you heard right. It's top secret at the moment, but if you've ever spent too long looking for that £10 gift for the hard to buy for, then this will be for you.

2 Even more trading cards. OK, so you know that we already stock one of the widest ranges of trading cards in the UK, but look out for even more expansion in our ranges from Yu-Gi-Oh, Doctor Who: Battles In Time and Pokemon. There's tonnes of new releases in the run up to Christmas, and you can find them all from our Trading Cards homepage.

3 More Pre-School Toys - We love our wooden range from Wonderworld and it always sells well in the shop. For a while, we've been hunting for other great ranges of pre-school toys to complement it. Well, we've found not one, but two. Look out for them appearing on the site in the run up to Christmas.

4 Our mission is to please. Since our online Uglydoll launch, we've been selling them at a phenomenol rate. As a result, keep watching, because the range will just get bigger and bigger. Enjoy!
